Background

In the year 2000, The City of New Haven, Yale University and local business leaders joined forces to establish Market New Haven, Inc. (MNHI), the city’s first destination marketing organization.

Since then, MNHI has been a driving force working to promote downtown New Haven’s vibrant lifestyle & leisure assets and attributes, branding it as a great place to visit, live and work.

MNHI is a public-private partnership funded by the City of New Haven, Yale University, Yale New Haven Health and the local business community.

MNHI supports the growth of jobs and taxes in New Haven through the promotion of the  city’s thriving downtown dining, shopping, culture, entertainment and events scene.
